What inspired you to become a travel blogger, and how has your journey evolved since then?
My love for traveling and sharing my experiences turned me into a travel blogger. When I was younger, all I wanted was to travel and record my memories on my journal. Now that I realized that there’s so many opportunities in being a content creator, I became more eager to feature more destinations, activities, and food!

As a female traveler, what are some of the unique challenges you’ve faced while exploring different destinations?
I think being a female is not a hindrance for me to explore places. It’s funny but the only problem I can think of is opening a water bottle. I have a weak grip and it’s hard for me to open a bottle of water. Because of that, I always learn the language of each country I visit so I can easily ask people to open a water bottle for me.

How do you approach cultural sensitivity and respect while immersing yourself in various countries and communities?
In terms of cultural sensitivity, I make sure to be respectful not only to the locals but also to their historical places. I enjoy wearing the traditional clothes of each country I visit. When I do that, I make sure to act modestly

Could you share some of your most memorable travel experiences in the Philippines, and why were they special to you?
One of the most memorable travel experiences I had is when my family and I went to Caramoan Islands in 2017. It’s one of the most beautiful places I’ve seen. The islands are virgin. The food is fresh and delicious. We were treated well by all the locals. After 6 years, I’m going back there next month.
I also love my Boracay trip with my close friends. It happened months before I turn 30. It was a short trip, but we were able to explore different kinds of restaurants and partied all night! I guess it’s really not the place but the people who travel with you make the trip memorable.
What tips or advice would you give to other female travelers, particularly those who may feel hesitant or apprehensive about solo travel?
Book that flight. Don’t let your gender hinder you from exploring the world. There are many good people out there. The world is beautiful. You can meet a lot of interesting people while traveling.

How do you balance capturing and sharing your experiences through photography and writing while still being present and enjoying the moment?
I only take photos on my first few minutes and on special instances. The rest of the time, I make sure to enjoy the moment. It’s funny how my boyfriend waits for me to take photos of our food before he eats. He already got used to it, and I love how he waits patiently.

In your opinion, what is the role of sustainable travel and responsible tourism, and how do you incorporate these principles into your journeys?
Everyone must be aware about the things to do for a sustainable travel and responsible tourism. In my case, I always choose to stay in eco-friendly accommodations. I love places with good practices for waste reduction and has water-saving initiatives. In addition, I also support local businesses. I always choose the local restaurants and shops instead of international chains. Lastly, I mostly take pictures instead of buying souvenirs. But when I do, I buy those things which are made by local artists. I don’t buy products made from endangered species and more importantly, I don’t support attractions that involves animal cruelty.

If you will have a chance to create a mobile application since the technology is innovating faster than before, what is its main feature and what will you name this mobile application?
That’s a tough one. I want an app to find travel buddies or dates! I want an app where you can be connected with the locals and travelers before your actual trip. In that way, it will be easy for travelers to plan their trips with other people.
