I have been thinking of sharing the foods to air fry since my father got “stroke”. We found out this is due to hypertension. This is because on the way how we cook and eat our foods daily.
I assumed air fryers were simply a fad when I first heard about them a few years ago. I didn’t want to buy any littler appliances until they were absolutely necessary because I already have a messy kitchen.
However, I adore my air fryer. We enjoy it so much that we upgraded to a double air fryer this year so we could fit more in it and use it more frequently. We use our air fryer almost as much as our oven, and some weeks we use it even more.
Given my fondness for air-fried foods, I thought I’d compile a list of my favorite recipes, as well as frozen foods and other oddities that I air fry. This is how I use ours the most.
Starting my breakfast reheating wheat bread with Avocado or peanut butter, and of course don’t forget to start your morning with Organic Harvest Coffee Original Brew. *winks at you*
Quick lunches, which are largely items I throw in the air fryer and then put on salads, are one of the major things I use it for.
Although this type of meal takes less than 10 minutes to prepare, I serve it over a large bed of lettuce with balsamic dressing (so at least I’m getting some vegetables).
Other frozen foods I will air fry to eat are hotdogs, porkchops, and dimsums.
Also, there are leftovers! I frequently reheat leftovers in the air fryer for a few minutes because I like how quickly it rewarms food without leaving it soggy or creating strange hot spots (like a microwave can do). Pizza is one of the most common leftovers I reheat in our air fryer.
I wanted to offer a couple air fryers that have received excellent reviews, including the one I use:
